PENROSE PLACE LTSR Primary Therapist
- Penrose Place Individual therapy, group treatment, and clinical care coordination $26.00 per hour Full Time M–F, 8am–4pm 2401 Penrose Avenue, Philadelphia, PA The Primary Therapist provides individual and group treatment for residents of Penrose Place, a 16-bed Long-Term Structured Residence for adults with serious and persistent mental illness. You will manage an assigned caseload, develop person-centered treatment plans, support residents during crises, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team and community providers.
What you'll do
Complete biopsychosocial and other required assessments and maintain an assigned clinical caseload. Develop, implement, review, and update individualized treatment plans and measurable recovery goals. Provide individual therapy and facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups. Provide crisis assessment and intervention and coordinate next steps with nursing, psychiatry, program leadership, and outside providers.
Maintain accurate and timely assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, reassessments, and transition documentation. Coordinate hospital follow-up, admissions evaluations, community resources, therapeutic outings, and continuity of care. Participate in treatment-team meetings, supervision, utilization review, program meetings, and required training.
What you'll bring
Master's degree from an accredited institution in social work, counseling, psychology, another social science, or a closely related behavioral health field. At least two years of psychiatric or behavioral health experience with adults with serious mental illness. Experience providing individual and group therapy and completing clinical assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Strong clinical judgment, crisis-intervention, documentation, organization, communication, and care-coordination skills. What CATCH offers Meaningful work in a small, team-based residential program. Job-related orientation, training, and ongoing support.
