Job description
We are looking for an experienced Senior C++ Engineer with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and enhancing legacy software products. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in C++ programming, MFC, Windows-based application development, and advanced debugging techniques. This role involves analyzing complex customer-reported issues, performing root cause analysis, resolving production defects, and ensuring product stability and performance.
The candidate will work closely with engineering, support, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions while contributing to product modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance legacy software products. Analyze and troubleshoot customer-reported issues and provide timely resolutions. Perform root cause analysis for complex technical problems. Debug application crashes, performance issues, and production defects. Analyze customer-generated dump files using debugging tools.
Identify and resolve memory leaks and resource management issues. Develop and maintain Windows-based applications using C++ and MFC. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product enhancements and bug fixes. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Support product releases, maintenance activities, and customer escalations.
Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to development planning and execution. 8–10 years of hands-on software development experience. Strong expertise in C++ programming and object-oriented design principles. Extensive experience with MFC and Windows desktop application development. Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities. Experience using debugging tools for dump file analysis and issue resolution.
Knowledge of memory management, memory leak detection, and performance tuning. Ability to analyze customer-reported issues and provide effective technical solutions.
