Laundry Handler

LAUNDRY ATTENDANT JOB DESCRIPTION Position Summary The Laundry Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and service at Villa Roma Resort & Conference Center by processing, washing, drying, and organizing linens, towels, uniforms, and other hotel textiles in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sort and process incoming laundry according to fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements
• Operate industrial washing and drying equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow proper chemical handling procedures and maintain appropriate cleaning solution levels
• Fold and organize clean linens, towels, and uniforms according to department standards
• Inspect textiles for stains, damage, or wear and handle accordingly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility
• Track inventory of linens and supplies
• Support other departments with linen needs as required
• Comply with all safety regulations and procedures
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisor
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment Required Skills and Abilities
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repeated bending, stretching, and lifting
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic mathematical skills for measuring cleaning solutions
• Effective communication skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays Working Conditions
• Work is performed indoors in a laundry facility environment
• Exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals
• Regular physical activity including standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Operation of industrial laundry equipment Experience
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred but not required
