Site Construction Manager – Offshore Platform

We are looking for a passionate Site Construction Manager – Offshore Platform (m/f/d) at our locations Hanover (Germany) and Batam (Indonesia) who will contribute to this and that might be you?

You hold an academic degree in engineering, construction management or a comparable field, or have an equivalent technical qualification combined with extensive relevant professional experience You bring several years of experience in senior construction or site management, including the coordination and leadership of construction or site teams in an international environment Ideally, you have gained experience in complex infrastructure projects, HVDC, offshore construction or oil & gas platforms and are familiar with demanding fabrication and quality environments You are a proactive and collaborative leader with a strong sense of ownership, quality and delivery , and you feel comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic international project environment You communicate confidently in English , ideally combined with fluent German language skills, and are willing to live and work at the construction yard in Batam, Indonesia, for an extended period during the project An IPMA Level D certification is an advantage; alternatively, you are willing to obtain the qualification

As Site Construction Manager for Lan. Win1 (m/f/d) , you play a key role in the successful fabrication and delivery of the offshore converter platform. Based at our international construction yard in Batam, Indonesia, you combine construction expertise, quality leadership and stakeholder management to ensure safe, high-quality project execution.

You lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of site engineers, site inspectors and QC personnel , ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality execution throughout the fabrication phase You ensure that the offshore platform is fabricated in accordance with TenneT standards and policies as well as applicable project requirements and local regulations As part of the site leadership team , you provide functional leadership to the inspection team and actively promote continuous improvement across site activities You create transparency on fabrication progress, risks and non-conformities through structured reporting and close collaboration with the Project Manager, Lead Yard Management and relevant project stakeholders.

You collaborate closely with the HVDC and Offshore Platform project teams, technical specialists and HSE functions, ensuring effective coordination across interfaces. You support Lead Yard Management in developing professional site management processes and tools and contribute to standardization and synergies across HVDC systems and offshore platform projects

The Build DC unit executes onshore and offshore DC construction projects, including the 2GW and 900MW programs. It manages key supplier partnerships and provides project management, engineering, and support services such as construction, permitting, cable installation, logistics, and commissioning. The unit coordinates regional activities, defines mission goals and KPIs, and ensures quality, standards, and methods for major DC infrastructure projects.

As of next possible date You start working in Hanover for a few weeks to prepare your stay in Batam The weekly working time is 37 hours in Germany and 44 hours in Indonesia The position is limited until December 2029 You will be sent as an long-term-expat with "special expat conditions" A security check may be carried out as part of the recruitment process for this position Job interviews for this position will be (partly) in English.
