Overview
Lorien Harmony Hall is hiring a Dietary Cook to join our healthcare community! We are seeking a cheerful and enthusiastic cook who is eager to explore new cooking methods and principles and incorporate them into our existing dietary practices. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in preparing nutritious, flavorful meals and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.
Pay Rate $18.00 – $20.00 per hour Full-Time Benefits: Paid Time Off: 80 hours of vacation 40 hours of sick time (with rollover) Personal days 7 Paid Major Holidays – Double time pay if you work the holiday Same Day Pay ! Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established dietary guidelines and batch cooking procedures Follow all sanitation, food safety, and infection control standards Demonstrate proper knife skills and safe food-handling techniques Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment Work collaboratively with the dietary team to support daily operations Apply knowledge of dietary procedures to meet resident nutritional needs Uphold integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic Assist team members as needed to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations Qualifications Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accomodation.
