JOB TITLE : SALES MANAGER – Precious Metals, Collectible Coins & Medallions POSITION SUMMARY The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the promotion and sale of precious metal products, numismatic coins, collectible coins, commemorative medallions and related collectibles. This role involves developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, providing expert product knowledge and delivering exceptional customer service to collectors, investors, dealers and distributors.
The primary objective of the Sales Manager is to build trusted relationships with collectors and investors, while maximizing sales of precious metal and numismatic products through expertise, integrity and outstanding customer service ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Sales & Revenue Generation Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) Promote and sell gold, silver, platinum and other precious metal products Present numismatic and collectible offerings to existing and prospective clients Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within customer portfolios Convert sales inquiries into successful transactions through consultative selling techniques Pursue coin licensing opportunities Promote Osborne’s technical and minting expertise and capacity Customer Relationship Management Build long-term relationships with collectors, investors, dealers and distributors Maintain regular communication with clients regarding new releases, new products / licensed coin themes, market opportunities and special promotions Provide personalized recommendations based on client interests, collecting goals and investment objectives Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention Product Expertise Develop deep knowledge of precious metals markets, numismatic products, grading standards, minting processes and collectible trends Educate customer on rarity, mintage figures, historical significance and market value Stay informed on industry developments, pricing movements and competitor offerings Business Development Prospect and develop new customer accounts through referrals, networking, outbound calls and digital channels Participate in trade shows, coin conventions, collector events and industry exhibitions Partner with the internal development group Expand market penetration and increase brand awareness Administrative & Compliance Maintain accurate sales records and customer information within CRM systems Prepare quotes, sales orders, invoices and follow-up correspondence in a timely manner Maintain group Sales Funnel database Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations and ethical sales practices QUALIFICATIONS 4 year degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field plus 3 years sales experience (preferred) Proven sales experience (preferably in precious metals, collectibles, luxury goods, financial services, or investments) Knowledge of numismatic products, collectibles or precious metals market is highly desirable Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications Reliable in attendance, quality of work, confidentiality and work ethic Valid Passport; periodic travel required including international Key Competencies Consultative Selling Prospecting & Lead Generation Customer Relationship Management Communication & Presentation skills Negotiation & Closing Techniques Market Analysis Product Knowledge Time Management Attention to detail Entrepreneurial and Results-Oriented Mindset Ability to explain complex investment and collectible concepts Understanding of coin grading standards (PCGS, NGC, etc.)
