Travel Medical Assistant
- Nationwide Bring your MA skills directly to patients at home. We’re hiring a Washington-based Medical Assistant to support preventive care through scheduled in-home visits while traveling to different U.S. markets based on coverage needs. Quick Details Location: King County, WA Pay: $31/hour Type: W-2 regular full-time, non-exempt Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Travel: Nationwide across the U.S. based on business and patient coverage needs Work Setting: Field-based, in-home member visits What You’ll Do Complete scheduled in-home member visits Support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and other preventive-care activities Take vitals, complete screenings, and perform approved point-of-care testing such as A1Cs and UAs Support Well-Child Visits when assigned Document visits accurately in the EMR/EHR Follow clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection-control procedures Travel Expectations & Support Home visits will start in King County, WA Assignments can be anywhere within the U.S. based on business and patient coverage needs You should expect frequent travel, including extended and overnight assignments Schedules are typically provided about two weeks ahead Mileage is reimbursed at $0.725 per mile between eligible patient visits Required travel time is paid, including out-of-state travel and flights to and from assignments Eligible travel expenses are covered, including transportation, flights when needed, rental car when needed, hotel, and meals What You’ll Need At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience Active Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, or equivalent qualification Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current registration, and active auto insurance Comfort working independently in patients’ homes Ability to meet vaccination and TB/PPD onboarding requirements Ability and willingness to travel anywhere within the U.S., including extended and overnight assignments Nice to Have Medicare Annual Wellness Visit or preventive-care experience Home-visit, field-based, mobile-care, or community health experience Experience with A1Cs, UAs, specimen collection, or similar point-of-care testing Well-Child Visit experience Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) PTO and paid holidays $0.725/mile reimbursement for eligible patient-to-patient travel Paid required travel time Covered eligible travel expenses for extended and out-of-state assignments At Urrly, fairness matters.
