Misdemeanor Prosecutor

JOB TITLE: MISDEMEANOR PROSECUTOR JOB GRADE: 13 STARTING SALARY: Commensurate with experience JOB DESCRIPTION Prosecutors handle all aspects of Misdemeanor Prosecution including case intake, plea negotiations, investigation, preparation and trial of misdemeanor and Justice of the Peace cases. The office offers and encourages its prosecutors to engage in training – both in a classroom setting and by direct observation of other prosecutors at work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Undergraduate degree Juris Doctorate Texas Bar License in good standing CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.
