Licensed Practical Nurse | Medicine Centralized Financial Screening | Day Shift | PRN

Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse will focus on providing high level patient-centered care in a physician office setting by measuring and recording vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, preparing patients for exams/procedures, assisting the health care provider with exams/procedures, providing patient support during exams, maintaining medical supply inventory, and stocking exam rooms.

The LPN will also provide patient care by administering medications, processing patient phone calls per practice protocols, instructing patients regarding health care and treatments, and providing health care provider with information pertaining to patients' health status. May be required to float to other UFHP practices, as needed, for staffing.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

Current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or eligibility to practice in the State of Florida. One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred. Demonstrated initiative and ability to multitask. Excellent patient/customer service, verbal communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION Current Florida LPN license or eligibility to practice in the State of Florida.

Florida is part of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment. Must maintain current certification. Must successfully complete the medication test within 30 days of hire.

MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR DESIGNATION Will not operate a vehicle for an assigned business purpose.
