Executive Sous Chef

EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF | MI VIDA PHILADELPHIA KNEAD Hospitality + Design is seeking an experienced and driven Executive Sous Chef to join the culinary leadership team at Mi Vida EAST MARKET , our flagship Mexican Concept located in Center City. The Executive Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef and General Manager to lead daily kitchen operations, develop and mentor the culinary team, and maintain the quality, consistency, and execution expected at Mi Vida.

We are looking for a hands-on culinary leader who thrives in a high-volume environment, understands kitchen systems and financial performance, and takes pride in developing their team. Experience with Mexican or Latin cuisine is preferred.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional culinary experience 3+ years of experience in a Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine role Experience with Mexican or Latin cuisine preferred Proven ability to lead, train, and develop a high-volume culinary team Excellent understanding of recipe standards, food quality, plating, and consistency Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and organizational skills Working knowledge of food cost, labor management, inventory, purchasing, and kitchen financial goals Culinary or hospitality degree/certification preferred, but not required What We Offer Joining KNEAD means joining a growing restaurant group with real opportunities for professional development and advancement.
