Job description
The Fort St. John Association for Community Living (FSJACL) is a non-profit agency committed to providing quality support to adults with developmental disabilities in the Fort St. John and District since 1960. As a CARF accredited agency, FSJACL boasts a professional staff team of over 80 employees dedicated to offering quality services and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Collaboration with community partners is integral to achieving the organization's vision of inclusion for all. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Youth Forensic Clinician to join our mental health team. This position is part of the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services (YFPS) program — a provincial initiative that provides specialized mental health assessment and treatment for youth involved with the criminal justice system.
As a Youth Forensic Clinician, you’ll work in a job-share position with another FSJACL clinician to deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based care. You will provide clinical support, assessment, and intervention for youth to help improve their mental and behavioral health outcomes while contributing to safer, stronger communities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical assessment, treatment, and support for youth referred through YFPS. Monitor client progress, recommend additional assessments or treatment interventions when required, and support positive outcomes in the community. Collaborate with justice partners, families, and community services in case planning and coordinated service delivery.
Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, confidentiality standards, and secure record management practices. Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development. Position Details Hours: 17.5 hours per week Wage: $47.26–$57.84 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Location: Dawson Creek Employment Type: Permanent Part-time Qualifications
- Minimum of master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or related discipline from a recognized university.
- Eligibility for registration with respective regulatory body.
- Minimum one year of experience in a related field. At FSJACL, we believe in supporting our team the same way we support our community — with care, respect, and opportunity.
