Business Development Executive (Purchasing)

As a Business Development Executive (Purchasing) , you will play a key role in expanding our supplier network and securing new sourcing opportunities across computing, enterprise and mobility technology, with a particular focus on used enterprise IT and data centre equipment .

You will identify and develop international sourcing opportunities, build strong supplier partnerships, negotiate competitive purchasing agreements and maintain a healthy purchasing pipeline to support profitable business growth. This is a commercially driven role where your knowledge of the enterprise IT hardware market, understanding of data centre equipment and ability to develop supplier relationships will be essential to your success.

What you will do

Identify and develop new supplier relationships through proactive outreach, networking, referrals and industry events Build and grow relationships with manufacturers, resellers, integrators, ITAD providers and enterprise customers Source and acquire used enterprise IT hardware and data centre equipment , including servers, storage systems, networking equipment and related infrastructure Manage and maintain a strong purchasing pipeline to drive revenue and margin targets Handle quotes, pricing, and sales processes in line with agreed service levels Deliver profitable product and service sales to international customers Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Services, Finance, Operations, Compliance) Support RFI/RFP processes and develop tailored service offerings Stay up to date with technology trends and market developments Ensure compliance with internal processes and quality standards We believe you have: 2–5 years of commercial experience in purchasing, procurement and/or B2B sales.

Purchasing experience is preferred, while a strong sales background is also highly valued Essential experience within the IT hardware industry , particularly enterprise IT, data centre equipment, ITAD or the secondary hardware market Practical knowledge of enterprise and data centre hardware , including servers, storage solutions, networking equipment and their commercial value A good understanding of the used IT equipment market, hardware lifecycle, product valuation and resale opportunities Proven experience in supplier development, purchasing, IT channel sales or commercial relationship management Strong negotiation skills and the ability to identify commercially attractive sourcing opportunities Experience developing new business relationships and managing a pipeline of commercial opportunities Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) Proficiency in English, both written and spoken To succeed in this role You are results-driven and motivated by achieving commercial and purchasing targets You bring a proactive, commercial and solution-oriented mindset You are confident in approaching new suppliers and identifying business opportunities independently You have a strong understanding of the enterprise IT market and can confidently discuss hardware specifications, market demand and purchasing opportunities You take ownership of your responsibilities and follow opportunities through from initial contact to successful agreement You build strong, long-lasting business relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders You are organised, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment You enjoy negotiating and finding commercially beneficial solutions for both Foxway and its suppliers Work Conditions The role is preferably based at our Braintree, Essex office Some local and international travel required Why Join Foxway?
