Engineering Intern

Job Title: Engineering Intern: Job Description: Process Engineering – Fixture Design Intern Location: Micross SJC Department: Process Engineering Reports To: Process Engineering Supervisor, Freya Start Summary: Perform functions to design, test, and implement wire forming fixtures for standard and custom DC-DC converter products.

Develop and implement forming fixtures, establish stable and repeatable forming processes, and generate clear process documentation.

Essential Duties

& Responsibilities: Responsible for designing, testing, and implementing wire forming fixtures for a variety of DC-DC converter products. Support production by implementing forming fixtures and developing repeatable forming processes. Ensure process or fixture related issues are addressed quickly and effectively. Work with operations to identify process and/or design improvements.

Support the release of fixture documentation including: procedures, manufacturing drawings, and 3D models. Job Qualifications & Skills: Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software. Experience developing technical or manufacturing drawings is a plus.

Experience with 3D printing is a plus. Ability to design tools/fixtures with minimal guidance. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as teamwork capabilities. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) is a plus. Team player who enjoys working with different disciplines.
