Job Description This role is for an Assistant Fund Accountant to join the OMIS Retirement Fund team within Old Mutual Investment Administrators (Pty) Ltd (OMIA). The team is responsible for administering the bank and assets of various products.

These include LISP based retirement funds, voluntary products, and life products. The role is responsible for administration of the various assets and completion of reconciliations. This role follows processes to perform fund administration and reporting in a predetermined format. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.

Follows processes to perform fund administration. Maintains client relationships in accordance with legislation, FSB regulations and good accounting practice. Ensures instructions to the market are carried out accurately. Provides daily and weekly reporting in a predetermined format.

Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly asset reconciliations and market valuation reports. Daily monitoring of product administration system and matching of transactions thereon. Performs monthly bank reconciliations. Processes MTS journals on Stadium. Responsible for clearing of reconciling items on bank and asset reconciliations. Responsible for new, complex and varied reconciliations with little input required.

Liaise with Wealth service centre to process payments. Relationship building Assist with building and maintaining a unified and sound team. Assist with building working relationships across lines of business and with 3rd parties to achieve service excellence and effective resolution of problems. Personal Effectiveness Delivery through own efforts.

Qualifications

and Experience required Tertiary qualification or BCom/equivalent degree required Minimum 1-2 years administration experience required Computer literacy – MS Office and Excel required Advantage
