Public Area Attendant

Compensation

$18.17 The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive public area of the property while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests.

Job Responsibilities

Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner. Attend all hotel required meetings and training. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag. Comply with Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach, and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.

Maintains supply levels in the public areas, toilet paper, and Kleenex. Maintains and cleans all public washrooms, checking twice each hour. Makes routine checks of all public areas to ensure cleanliness. Empties ash urns. Dust all tables, lamps, and ledges in all public areas and corridors. Maintains the cleanliness of all windows, glass, and doors in public areas.

Checks guest elevators, clean carpets, and polishes metals as necessary. Maintains elevator tracks. Performs cleaning tasks in public areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, moping, and collecting garbage. Assists guests and other staff members as needed. Physical Requirements: The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to: Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel Ascend and descend a ladder.
