Ophthalmology: Pediatrics Full-time Faculty Member

The University of California Davis Eye Center, Department of Ophthalmology & Vision Science, is accepting applications for a highly qualified early or mid-career, full-time pediatrics clinician to join our active Pediatrics Service. The department provides the full range of eye care services at 5 locations across the greater metropolitan Sacramento area.

The Department now occupies the new world-class 65,000 square foot Ernest E. Tschannen Eye Institute on the UC Davis Health campus. UC Davis Health is an integrated health system with a 646-bed hospital and a level 1 trauma center. UCD is renowned for its commitment to health care technology and for its regional collaborations with surrounding health care systems.

This position is designed for an individual who will be active in the medical and surgical care of pediatrics patients. Knowledge of pediatric ROP care is highly desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

will include clinical patient care, teaching and supervision of medical students and house staff, University service, call shared equally with other faculty members, and a commitment to scientific investigation, both clinical and/or translational. This recruitment is conducted at the assistant and associate professor rank.

The resulting hire will be at the assistant/associate rank, regardless of the proposed appointee’s qualifications.
