Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Mill Park, Port Elizabeth team,

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS / IFRS for SMEs
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate journal entries
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes
• Ensure compliance with South African tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax)
• Prepare and submit statutory returns
• Maintain compliance with Companies Act and other relevant legislation
• Analyse financial performance and provide insights to management
• Prepare management reports and variance analysis
• Monitor cash flow and working capital
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies Requirements
• Grade 12
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Completed SAICA Articles (essential)
• Minimum 3 years post-articles experience
• Experience in financial reporting and tax compliance
• Exposure to audit processes
• Strong knowledge of IFRS / IFRS for SMEs
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Xero and Draftworx experience preferred
