job Title Catholic Music Director Employment Type Part-Time Location Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Goldsboro, NC 27531 Work Schedule Weekly rehearsals and Sunday Catholic Mass Support for Holy Days, memorial services, weddings, funerals, and other approved chapel events Must arrive before rehearsals and worship services to prepare music and equipment Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and religious holidays Position Summary Ladgov Corporation is seeking an experienced Catholic Music Director to support the Catholic Chapel Program at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

The selected candidate will provide musical leadership during worship services, direct choir rehearsals, coordinate with the Catholic Priest and chapel staff, and help create a meaningful worship experience for the military community.

Responsibilities

Lead music during weekly Catholic Mass and special liturgical celebrations Direct choir rehearsals and volunteer musicians Select and prepare appropriate Catholic liturgical music Coordinate music plans with the Catholic Priest Accompany congregational singing using piano or keyboard Prepare music materials for rehearsals and services Set up and secure music equipment before and after services Support weddings, funerals, memorial services, and seasonal celebrations as scheduled Maintain a professional appearance and respectful conduct while serving the chapel community Arrange qualified substitute musicians when approved absences occur Minimum Qualifications Experience serving as a Catholic musician, choir director, or music director Ability to read sheet music and perform Catholic liturgical music Experience directing vocal ensembles or church choirs Proficiency on piano or keyboard Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work with clergy, volunteers, and chapel staff Ability to pass a background screening Reliable transportation to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Preferred Qualifications Degree in Music or a related field Experience supporting military or Catholic parish worship programs Familiarity with the Roman Catholic liturgical calendar and Mass settings
