SUMMARY OF POSITION In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Resident Assistant/STNA (Caregiver) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements

Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc. Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles. Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day. Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.

Must understand infection control performance. Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication. Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers Required to make independent decisions. Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
