What's the role about? As a Senior Backend Engineer , you will serve as the core backend specialist for a sustainable apparel and retail brand, taking full ownership of backend architecture, internal tooling, and critical third-party integrations. You will work closely with a small, collaborative engineering team to ensure the reliability and performance of e-commerce, retail, and logistics systems—particularly across a Shopify-centric ecosystem during high-traffic periods.

From architecting robust API connections to proactively troubleshooting and maintaining platform stability, you will leverage strong engineering fundamentals to deliver immediate, high-visibility impact across the entire operational pipeline. What do we require from you? 6+ years of solid and proven experience as a software engineer, with a strong focus on backend development.

Strong proficiency and experience in Ruby on Rails, OR equivalent deep experience in Python using frameworks like Flask or Django. Hands-on experience working with third-party API integrations and Shopify APIs. Solid background working with standard databases such as MySQL. Familiarity with standard frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to maintain and adjust internal tools, without needing to be a frontend expert.

Strong analytical capacity and debugging skills to proactively solve technical problems and collaborate on solutions via shared communication channels. Strong technical fundamentals with a low reliance on Artificial Intelligence tools; AI should be used strictly to enhance development velocity, not as a dependency to operate Some of our Perks: Salary in USD.
