Our ECC nursing staff are an integral part of providing this level of care. These resources allow for an environment of continual learning and advanced skill development for all the members of our ECC team at VSH.About the Job: As a Vet Tech in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) you will be responsible for:Collecting samples, placing IV catheters, prepare IV fluids and additives, obtain arterial blood gas samples. Calculating and administering medication, fluid additives, CRI's Obtaining and reporting vitals, monitoring telemetry, monitor oxygen dependent patients. Placement and maintenance of nasogastric tube, nasal cannula, central venous catheters. Must be able to prioritize patient hourly treatments and delegate tasks. Triage critical patients, recognize changes in patient status and report to doctor, educate/update owners on patient status, discharge patients from the hospital. Shift Info: Overnight: 3/12-hour shifts; Nights TBD.Wage Scale: RVT: $28 - $40/hr VTS: $35 - $48/hr. About You:Minimum of 3 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting required. 2 years ECC experience required. RVT preferred.
