Substitute Teachers, 2026-27 School Year

Position Title: Short-Call Substitute Teachers School Year 2026-2027 Primary Location: District-Wide Assignment Specifications: On-Call; Winona Area Public Schools continuously accepts online applications for prospective substitute teachers to sub for our district. Applications will be reviewed as needed. Pay Rate: $20.

00 per hour Responsibilities: Substitute Teachers perform the instructional and classroom management processes for teachers who are absent for a day or longer periods of time. Their duties include taking attendance, following sub plans, explaining homework, and maintaining classroom cleanliness.

Qualifications

Candidates applying for this vacancy should hold a current teaching license or a Short-Call Substitute license issued by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB). Applicants who have a bachelor's degree, but not in education can apply for a Short-Call Substitute license through the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.
