Job Summary

Responsible for the delivery, set up, and maintenance of medical equipment to patients’ homes or healthcare facilities. This role ensures that all equipment is functioning properly, and that patients and caregivers understand how to use the equipment safely and effectively.

Essential Functions

Deliver, set up, service, and retrieve durable medical equipment in patients’ homes or healthcare facilities. Conduct equipment demonstrations and provide instructions on proper use, maintenance, and safety. Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and patient records.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment in the field or coordinate repairs. Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, company personnel, and healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements regarding equipment delivery and usage. Handle and dispose of returned equipment following company protocols and safety guidelines.

Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications and requirements Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience in customer service, delivery, or a related field is preferred. Basic mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment up to 90 pounds at times. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with medical terminology and DME equipment is a plus. Competencies Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrates concern for satisfying external and/or internal customers. Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Attention to Detail: Pays close attention to detail for the purpose of ensuring high quality.

Technical Skills: Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; pursues training and development opportunities. Communication: Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification. Dependability: Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions.

Driving and Vehicle Policies: Adheres to company vehicle policies and procedures; demonstrates safe and responsible driving practices while operating company vehicles.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to push and pull loads of up to 90 pounds occasionally.
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle small components and tools.
