2026-2027 (PT) Hot Lunch Coordinator

Diocese of Joliet Catholic Elementary Schools 2026-2027 Hot Lunch Coordinator Part-time-Benefit Ineligible St. Raphael, Naperville, IL Position available: (September, 2026) St. Raphael Catholic School St. Raphael Catholic School seeks a dependable, caring Hot Lunch Worker to help provide students with a safe and welcoming lunch experience.

This position supports the daily lunch program and works with school staff to serve students efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare the lunch area and organize meals, supplies, and serving stations. Distribute lunches and assist students as needed. Follow food handling, allergy, and sanitation procedures established by the school. Keep serving and dining areas clean and orderly. Help supervise students during lunch, reinforcing school expectations with patience and respect.

Communicate meal discrepancies, safety concerns, or student needs to the appropriate staff member.

Education and Experience

A High School or GED is required. Food handling certificate is (preferred). Previous experience is a plus but not required. Enjoys being around young children ages (Preschool to Grade 8). Practicing Catholic is preferred but not required. Physical abilities that are commonly associated with the performance of this job� Work in standard school building environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. Ability to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs on a regular basis.

Physically able to perform the duties as assigned, including the ability to lift up to 20 pounds if needed. If hired, food handling certificate is necessary Hourly Range ($15 - $16) Determined at the local level This is a part-time position, hours not to exceed 10 hours per week as per a schedule developed by the Principal.
