Description Garden. Core is searching for a results-oriented Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced, high-growth, industry-leading business. The Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for Garden. Core's financial reporting, lender reporting, and core accounting activities within the Field Support Office.

The position leads annual US GAAP financial statement preparation, lender and covenant reporting. This position further assists with external audit coordination, technical accounting matters, the monthly close process, account reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting activities. Job Location This position will be based out of the office in Peachtree Corners, GA .

The position may require occasional travel, as needed, up to 10% of the time.

Job Responsibilities

Financial & Lender Reporting Lead preparation of annual US GAAP financial statements, including cash flows, footnotes, and supporting schedules. Assists and coordinate with the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for management, ownership, and lenders. Own recurring lender reporting, including borrowing-base reporting, covenant and compliance calculations, and supporting schedules.

Ensure lender reporting is accurate, timely, well-supported, and reconciled to the general ledger and financial statements. Assists with coordinating the annual external audit, including PBC schedules, audit support, financial statement review, and resolution of audit matters. Research and document technical accounting matters and prepare accounting memorandums as needed.

Assists with maintaining and enhancing accounting policies, financial reporting procedures, and internal controls. Support acquisition accounting, purchase price allocations, opening balance sheets, and integration of acquired businesses. Accounting & Close Actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, estimates, intercompany activity, and other close-related schedules. Maintain strong balance sheet controls and ensure reconciling items are identified and resolved timely. Review consolidated financial results for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate classification.

Supervise and develop staff accountants, including review of work and assignment of close responsibilities. Partner with field and functional teams to support timely and accurate accounting and financial reporting. Standardize and improve accounting processes, close procedures, reconciliations, and controls across the organization.

Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and strengthen accounting and reporting processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Active CPA required. 7+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement presentation and disclosures. Experience preparing or reviewing annual financial statements, including cash flows and footnotes.

Demonstrated experience with lender reporting, debt compliance, and covenant calculations. Experience leading monthly and year-end close processes and reviewing account reconciliations. Experience coordinating external financial statement audits. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.

Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a private equity-backed, leveraged, or acquisitive organization. Public accounting experience. Experience in a multi-entity manufacturing or distribution environment. Experience with acquisition accounting, PPA, and post-acquisition integration. Experience standardizing or transforming accounting and financial reporting processes.
