Job Title: Registered Vascular Ultrasound Technologist (RVT) Reports To: Technical Director and Practice Administrator Location(s): Vascular Care Specialists – Brockton, MA Employment Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Monday–Friday Days

  • No Weekends, Holidays or Call Position Summary: Vascular Care Specialists is seeking a skilled and dependable Registered Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our IAC accredited vascular lab. The Registered Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs a comprehensive range of noninvasive vascular diagnostic studies using advanced ultrasound technology to assist our vascular surgeons in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of vascular disease. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical skills, sound clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care while maintaining the standards and requirements of IAC. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations in accordance with established laboratory protocols, physician orders, and IAC accreditation standards. Obtain high-quality diagnostic images, measurements, and documentation for physician interpretation. Recognize abnormal or urgent findings and communicate them appropriately to the vascular surgeon or clinical team. Review relevant patient history, prior imaging, physician documentation, and clinical indications before performing examinations. Properly identify and prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure patient comfort and privacy throughout the study. Maintain accurate patient records, images, worksheets, and reports. Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, peer review, and other activities necessary to maintain IAC accreditation and vascular laboratory standards. Maintain ultrasound equipment and exam rooms and follow all infection-control and patient-safety requirements. Able to manage a busy schedule while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and high standards of patient care. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to provide efficient, high-quality patient care. Perform other duties as assigned by practice management. Required Experience, Education & Licensure: Associate degree (or equivalent) in imaging technologies ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required. Minimum of 2 years of vascular ultrasound experience preferred. BLS certification preferred. Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and ultrasound principles. Excellent communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
