About Princeton Detox & Recovery Center: Part of Guardian Recovery, we provide comprehensive drug rehab, alcohol rehab, and medical detox services in New Jersey for individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our experienced clinical team delivers personalized treatment plans designed to help clients safely navigate withdrawal, address the underlying causes of addiction, and build a strong foundation for long-term recovery. Job Duties: The Prep Cook is responsible for cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc. Undertakes basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc. Prepare simple dishes such as salads, and entrees. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash. Restocking the cafeteria, kitchen, and storage rooms following FICO method (first in first out). Assist with serving meals to residents. Position Schedule: 10am to 6pm Tuesday to Saturday Qualifications: Candidate Qualifications: Candidates must have some form of professional experience in a professional kitchen environment, which can be some form of food service or cooking position in an official volunteering capacity. Ideally his is experience in batch cooking, prep work, or catering. Ideal candidates will have prior food experience in a healthcare setting, not this is not required. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Completed GED or Highschool Diploma is required. Current CPR card (we can help you obtain this or recertify once you start). Apply Today! EXTENDED JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist the chef with the orderly storage and cleanliness of all areas and items within the kitchen, dining room, and other food storage, meal service, and refuse disposal areas. Correctly and appropriately utilizes approved cleaning agents within all food preparation, storage and refuse disposal areas. Utilize appropriate care and safety of all kitchen equipment. Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties. Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible. Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking. Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc. Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc. Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines. Protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with GRNH, LLC’s privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. Failure to comply with the company’s policies and procedures on client privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding GRNH, LLC’s policies and procedures on client privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
