Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Location: Samaritan Home Health Department: 08.6994 SHH HOME HEALTH Pay Range: 24.16 - 31.40 Care for our community, and your career. Under the direct supervision of Occupational Therapist, treats patients, residents, and/or registrants using exercises, Occupational Therapy modalities, and training techniques for functional activities.

Job Requirements Minimum Education Requirement : SKH

• Graduation from a Occupational Therapy education program. Successful completion of all Occupational Therapy Assistant student internships. SMC
• Graduation from an associates degree program for Occupational Therapy Assistants. Minimum Experience Requirement : Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with the varied age groups to which service is provided. Minimum License Requirement : New York State registration. CPR certification. SKH
• New York State certification required for all if graduation date is 2003 or after. Physical Requirement/Working Conditions : Contact with communicable diseases. Exposure to body fluids, blood borne pathogens and infectious waste material. Risk of physical injury from lifting; the potential for electrical to thermal injury; the potential for exposure to toxic substances. Frequent walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, and light/medium lifting. Occasional heavy lifting with assistance.
