Description Cherokee Town & Country Club is seeking a Fitness Receptionist who loves welcoming people. You'll be the first face members and guests see when they walk into our Fitness Center. If you want to join an organization where people care about and respect each other, we want to meet you.

Job Summary

The Fitness Receptionist at the Cherokee Town Club is essential to creating an inviting atmosphere for our members and guests. Your primary function is to cheerfully greet members and guests as they enter the club, answer questions, provide directions, and escort them to various areas of the club. You will also assist members over the phone, help them make reservations, answer questions, and direct calls to the appropriate department or associate.

Compensation

$17.50 to $18.50 per hour Schedule: 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday to Friday Essential Functions of the job: Greet all club members and guests in a professional and courteous manner, in person and over the phone. Answer questions, provide directions, and escort members around the club. Direct phone calls to the appropriate department or associate.

Help keep the Fitness facilities clean, stocked, and organized. Ensure compliance with Club rules and policies throughout the Fitness Center. Assist guests in the Fitness Center with check ins, guest registration, scheduling members for fitness programs, and food and beverage service. Update communication logs, and relay messages and pertinent information between Club staff, members, and guests.

Handle the sale and redemption of Fitness gift certificates. Monitor security cameras in all fitness areas to ensure security and member safety. Make sure the proper channel and frequency are used for all AV equipment in the Fitness Center. Keep the reception desk and area presentable, well organized, and stocked.

Requirements

Friendly, welcoming, cheerful personality. Excellent oral communication and organizational skills. Fluency in English. Ability to stay calm during rushes of activity while helping members and guests efficiently and patiently. Personable, hospitable, and eager to help others, so every member and guest feels you care about their needs.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar position. Private club or other hospitality experience is preferred but not required. First Aid, CPR, and AED certification is preferred but not required.
