Electrical Engineer for Automation Technology (m/f/d)

A Snapshot of Your Day. In this role you will work in an agile environment focused on the system testing of our control system platform. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality and supporting the resolution of issues reported by our customers. Working closely with Product Managers, you will contribute to the definition and validation of business requirements and priorities.

In this role, you will collaborate with a global and diverse team across multiple locations.How You'll Make an Impact. You will be part of the Omnivise T3000 System Test team based in Budapest, working closely with colleagues in Germany and India. As a member of this global team, you will help ensure the quality and reliability of the overall system prior to each release.

You will perform feature testing and system integration testing for the Omnivise system platform, including planning and preparing test environments, creating and executing test cases, documenting test results, analyzing defects, creating defect reports, and verifying delivered fixes.You will install, configure, and maintain Omnivise T3000 test systems, including both hardware and software components.

You will analyze issues reported by customers in close cooperation with field engineers and customer representatives by reproducing, investigating, and validating solutions for complex system problems.You will verify and approve bug fixes and corrections for product releases.You will troubleshoot customer installations and support the implementation of corrective actions, both remotely and on-site when required.

You will advise Product Managers on requirements, feasibility, and product quality aspects.You will support project execution teams by providing technical expertise and resolving system-related questions and issues.You will work within international Scrum and Kanban teams and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, combined with several years of relevant professional experience.Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, including both hardware and software components, with hands-on experience in control systems such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and DCS (Distributed Control Systems).

Experience working with IT infrastructure and operating systems, particularly Microsoft Windows Server and Linux-based environments.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues while ensuring system reliability and performance.Familiarity with the Omnivise T3000 Instrumentation & Control (I&C) system is desirable, but not required.
