• To assist Concrete Finishers to smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, highways, or curbs to specified textures using hand tools or power tools, including floats, trowels, and screeds and to conform to plans, specifications, and local, state, and federal building codes. Concrete Labor Roles, Duties, & Responsibilities: Spreads concrete into inaccessible sections of forms using rake or shovel. Mixes cement using hoe or concrete mixing machine. Breaks up and repairs old concrete surfaces using pneumatic tools. Cleans work areas, machines, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe job site. Fine grades soil on ground to achieve proper thickness of concrete. Keeps track of form truck. Selects tools, equipment, and materials from storage and transports items to job sites to be used. Adheres to all Hunter Contracting Co. safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management. Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Work Qualifications: Practices good safety habits. Ability to read tape measures. Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of structures, highways, or roads. Judges distances and slopes accurately. Knowledge of construction specifications. Knowledge of machines and tools.
