Head of Production

The Head of Production is responsible for leading and managing all production operations across Wasl Channel. This role oversees the end-to-end delivery of media projects, ensuring productions are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest creative and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Leadership -Lead all aspects of production across film, video, photography, digital, social media, and branded content projects. -Develop production strategies, workflows, and best practices to improve efficiency and quality. -Build and maintain a high-performing production team, including producers, production managers, coordinators, and freelancers.

-Oversee resource planning and allocation across multiple projects. Project & Production Management -Supervise projects from pre-production through post-production and final delivery. -Ensure production schedules, budgets, and deliverables are effectively managed. -Review production plans, call sheets, crew requirements, and logistical arrangements.

-Identify and mitigate production risks to ensure smooth project execution. -Maintain oversight of studio, equipment, and production resources. Financial Management -Develop and approve project budgets and cost estimates. -Monitor production spending and profitability across all projects. -Negotiate rates and contracts with suppliers, crew, talent, studios, and vendors.

-Ensure accurate project forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting. Team Leadership & Development -Recruit, mentor, and develop production staff and freelance talent. -Foster a collaborative, creative, and solutions-focused culture. -Conduct performance reviews and support professional development initiatives.

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media, Communications, Business, or a related field. -Proven experience managing high-value commercial, broadcast, digital, or branded content productions. -Strong understanding of pre-production, production, post-production, and content delivery workflows. -Experience managing production budgets, schedules, contracts, and teams.
