Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Key Responsibilities:**

• Patient Care:** Assess, triage, and stabilize patients with varying degrees of acute illness or injury in a 35-bed unit.

• Clinical Procedures:** Administer medications, perform wound care, insert IVs, and assist with life-saving interventions.

• Monitoring & Evaluation:** Continuously monitor vital signs, document changes, and initiate corrective actions based on assessment.

• Documentation:** Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records (EMR) following all regulatory and nursing standards.

• Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with attending physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and team members to deliver high-quality patient care.

• Advocacy & Education:** Provide emotional support and education to patients and families during crisis situations.

Requirements:**

• Licensure:** Valid RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

• Education:** RN Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN.

• Certification:** BLS (required within 90 days), ACLS, and PALS.

• Experience:** Previous ED experience is required; experienced nurses looking to specialize in the ED are encouraged to apply.

• Skills:** Strong critical thinking, rapid assessment skills, and ability to handle high-stress situations
