Armed Security Officer

Key Responsibilities

Conduct patrols of campus buildings and property to deter unauthorized activity and ensure safety Monitor access points and maintain a visible security presence throughout the facility Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for service in accordance with established procedures Prepare accurate and professional shift activity logs and incident report Escort faculty, staff, and guests upon request or when operationally necessary Support training and adherence to industry best practices and STCL-specific protocols Escort vendors and service providers Provide lock and unlock duties Support campus events Work alongside fellow officers to enhance team performance and overall security capabilities Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or emergency deployments as needed Identify safety hazards or unusual / suspicious activity Note and report any maintenance issues Requirements A valid Texas Level 3 security license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety is mandatory for this position Prior supervisory experience in a law enforcement, military, or campus security environment preferred Demonstrated mastery of firearms handling, tactical response, and use-of-force protocols Certification in First Aid/CPR strongly preferred All personnel must meet grooming, uniform, and equipment standards outlined in the employee handbook Salary $20.
