Lifeguard - Flexible Shifts Available

The YMCA of Concord is seeking Lifeguards to join our fun, dedicated, and mission-driven aquatics team! Flexible scheduling (early morning, daytime, evening, and weekend shifts) Paid training and free lifeguard certification/recertification Opportunities for growth and advancement—many YMCA leaders started as Lifeguards Supportive, team-oriented environment Responsibilities: Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area to ensure a safe, positive environment Enforce pool rules and YMCA safety policies Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and water rescues Complete safety checks and maintain accurate incident reports Build positive relationships with members, participants, and staff Assist with cleaning, equipment checks, and maintaining pool readiness Attend required trainings and proactively communicate scheduling needs Qualifications: Lifeguard certification (YMCA or Red Cross) or ability to obtain Ability to stay alert and respond calmly in high-pressure situations Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset Must meet physical requirements of lifeguarding (swimming, endurance, etc.)
