• Portland, OR, Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00Hourly, SCOPE: The Fuel and Propane Logistics Coordinator is responsible for taking, creating and routing customer deliveries. This position manages driver routes and workloads, adhering to designated timeframes and cost structures, and in compliance with efficiency standards and safety regulations. SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES Schedule all bulk and wet hose fuel deliveries to customers and sub-distributors. Schedule all propane deliveries to customers and sub-distributors. Utilize independent judgment to assign drivers to trucks and trucks to routes to maximize operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability, all while adhering to safety requirements. Exercise discretion while managing schedule changes due to driver absences, business changes, and/or vehicle maintenance. Adjust assignments and routes accordingly, communicating changes to appropriate operations and sales team members. Serve as primary point of contact for drivers and troubleshoot concerns. Manage and escalate onsite emergencies reported by drivers to the appropriate parties in compliance with company, environmental, health, safety and security guidelines. Log and report emergency delivery details. Review and analyze previous day's deliveries to ensure routes were adhered to and efficiency levels were met or exceeded. Communicates effectively with Territory Managers and customers daily for call-in deliveries and account issues. This position will report directly to the Director of Fuel Operations. It is important to maintain a professional and personable demeanor, friendly presence, and helpful attitude with all team members. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Associates degree in business or logistics field 2-5 years dispatching, logistics, or similar experience Intermediate computer skills Intermediate Excel skills In addition to the above qualifications, this position requires the following skills and abilities: Ability to proactively recognize and solve problems Exhibit excellent written and oral skills Utilize deductive reasoning Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills Handle constantly changing flow of traffic and multitask effectively Exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision Display excellent customer service skills PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS Operates in a professional office environment. Regularly required to stand, walk, sit for long periods of times, talk, and hear. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, with the ability to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
