Financial Advisor (West Hartford Market) -West Hartford, CT & surrounding area Build your book with a strong referral network. M&T Bank is hiring a Financial Advisor to grow and manage a book of business in the West Hartford market. This role offers access to a robust referral network across Retail, Business Banking, and Wealth partners—giving you the opportunity to focus on what you do best: building relationships and delivering advice-based solutions.

What You’ll Do: Build and grow a book of business through referrals, new client development, and a defined territory of retail branch partnerships across the West Hartford market Deliver personalized investment and insurance solutions aligned to client goals Partner with branch, business banking, and wealth teams to generate consistent opportunities Conduct portfolio reviews and recommend tailored strategies to grow and protect assets Manage the full client lifecycle—from discovery to long-term relationship management What You Bring: 2+ years of sales, sales administration, financial services, and/or retail banking experience Proven track record growing client relationships and assets under management Strong business development and networking skills Ability to work independently while leveraging internal partnerships Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years' sales, sales administration, financial services, and/or retail banking experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years' sales, sales administration, financial services, and/or retail banking experience Licenses Required: Series 7, 63, and 65 or 66 Life/Variable Insurance license Why Join M&T: Established referral network to accelerate your book growth Access to a broad suite of investment and insurance solutions Collaborative, relationship-driven environment Opportunity to build a scalable, long-term practice About Wilmington Advisors @ M&T: Wilmington Advisors @ M&T is a brand name used by LPL representatives to offer securities, advisory, and insurance services and is not a separate legal entity.

Compensation
