Responsibilities

Third Party Administrator (TPA) accounting – responsible for the direct and reinsurance accounting and reporting for multiple TPA’s across several lines of business. Treaty/contract review - ensure all accounting and regulatory items are correctly implemented and followed with various reinsurance treaties. Mortgage Investment Accounting – record entries, prepare financial reports, and settle activity for all mortgage investments.

Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and process improvements, including system enhancements and automation. Record journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts. Perform financial statement analysis as part of the monthly close. Preparation and analysis of schedules for Annual/Quarterly Statements and audits.

Partner and collaborate with other departments (IT, Actuarial, Legal). pecial projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting or Finance major preferred. 2-3 years of insurance accounting experience. Strong Microsoft skills – Word, Excel, Access. Experience with ERP systems for accounting – People. Soft experience a plus.
