Job description

July, 2026 Delivery Manager

  • Physical AI Pittsburgh, PA | Full-Time | On-site About Us Shelfmark is the AI quality control platform that lets manufacturers catch defects the moment they happen. Our systems pair high-resolution line scan cameras with embedded software and machine learning to inspect products as they move down the line - flagging flaws in real time, at production speed, so our customers ship quality with confidence instead of relying on slow, manual spot checks. As our Delivery Manager, you own getting Shelfmark systems out of our hands and running on customer floors. In the near term that means boots on the ground - coordinating each deployment end to end and being on-site to stand the system up. But the big unlock is what you build along the way: repeatable processes, documentation, and tooling that let us scale from "our team flies out for every install" to "we ship a customer a box and they set it up themselves." You'll be a gifted project manager who's just as comfortable in a spreadsheet of lead times as you are on a factory floor with a wrench, and who thrives when the path isn't fully mapped.

What You'll Do

Near term - get systems into the world

  • Own each deployment end to end: requirements, hardware and lead times, networking confirmation, scheduling, and go-live.
  • Be on-site for installs - coordinating our engineers, facilitating the process, and getting hands-on to assemble and set up hardware.
  • Act as the functional bridge between the customer and our technical team before, during, and after install.
  • Track every moving part and keep deployments on schedule and on spec. Long term - make delivery scale
  • Turn each install into a repeatable playbook - documentation, checklists, and standardized processes.
  • Build the systems and tooling that let customers self-install from a shipped box, reducing the need for us to be on-site.
  • Identify what's slow, manual, or fragile in delivery and systematically engineer it out.
  • Lay the groundwork for a delivery function that can grow with the company. What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in project/program management, implementation, deployment, or a comparable delivery role.
  • A genuinely gifted project manager - organized, detail-obsessed, and able to keep many threads and stakeholders aligned at once.
  • Comfort with ambiguity; you're energized by a role that's still being defined and by building the process rather than inheriting one.
  • Hands-on and field-ready - willing to be on-site and physically help assemble and set up hardware, not just direct it.
  • Strong, personable communication with both non-technical customers and technical engineers.
  • A systems-thinking instinct: you naturally look for ways to make a repeatable, manual step automatic.
  • Willingness to travel for deployments, especially in the early phase.
  • Bonus: experience deploying hardware or on-prem systems in manufacturing or industrial settings or productizing an install/onboarding process.

Compensation

Delivery manager will receive a competitive salary and healthcare benefits package, and would be considered for early employee equity compensation. Location: The ideal candidate would be located in Pittsburgh, PA and willing to co-locate in person in the company’s Uptown office.
