Position Summary

The Busser supports the Food & Beverage service team by maintaining clean and organized tables, service stations, and guest areas throughout service. This role works closely with Servers, Runners, Bartenders, Barbacks, and other F&B team members to ensure tables are quickly cleared and reset, supplies remain stocked, and the overall operation runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Clear, clean, set, and reset tables according to established service and presentation standards. Maintain guest tables and surrounding dining areas throughout service. Keep service and wait stations clean, organized, and properly stocked. Replenish silverware, glassware, napkins, condiments, and other service supplies as needed.

Assist Servers and other F&B team members with guest and operational needs throughout service. Remove used dishes, glassware, trash, and other items promptly from tables and service areas. Assist with restaurant and service-area setup and breakdown. Complete all assigned opening, running, and closing side work according to established SOPs.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest-facing and back-of-house F&B areas. Assist Barbacks and other support positions with side work when operational needs require. Communicate guest requests, spills, maintenance concerns, or service issues promptly to the appropriate team member or Manager. Follow all food safety, sanitation, safety, and responsible alcohol service requirements.

Support teammates during high-volume periods to maintain smooth and efficient service. Perform additional duties as assigned by Food & Beverage Management.

Required Skills

& Qualifications Previous restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred but not required. Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Food & Beverage environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to follow established procedures, service standards, and direction.

Warm, professional, and guest-focused demeanor. Commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace safety. Reliable and punctual with the ability to adhere to scheduled shifts. Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages are a plus. Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and peak business periods.

Required food handling and responsible alcohol service certifications must be maintained according to applicable requirements; training access may be provided. Work Environment This position works throughout The Standard Spa, Miami Beach’s Food & Beverage outlets and may include both indoor and outdoor dining environments.

The role operates in a fast-paced environment and requires frequent movement between dining areas, service stations, kitchens, bars, and other F&B spaces. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods, including shifts of 8 hours or more. Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, stretching, and repetitive movement.

Ability to push, pull, move, carry, and lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to safely carry dishes, trays, glassware, linens, supplies, and other service items. Ability to grasp, turn, hold, and safely handle objects throughout the shift. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Ability to safely navigate busy dining areas, kitchens, service stations, and potentially wet surfaces. Work where hospitality, teamwork, and great energy come together… every day.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Qualifications: Understanding: Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions according to established procedures. Comprehension: Excellent Command of the English language. Multi-lingual is helpful but not required Organizational Skills: Work efficiently, utilize multi-tasking and task prioritization skills.

Service: Level of service consistent and uniform in accordance with established standards per SOPs. Hygiene and Sanitation: Adherence to Uniform, grooming and personal hygiene standards and expectations per SOPs. Ongoing cleaning and maintenance of workstation according to established procedure. Punctuality: Adherence to posted schedule and arrival time.

Attendance at mandatory meetings when scheduled. Responsibility: Personal comportment in line with Standard, Miami policies, standards and expectations. While on the floor identify and report real or potential problem situations to Management immediately. Physical Requirements: Must be able to work standing and constant walking for a minimum period of 8 hours per day.

Periodical bending, kneeling and stretching is required. Pull, push, move, carry and lift at least 40 pounds of force is required. Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
