Supervisor – Healthcare Security Officer Location: Waterbury Pay: $24.50/hour Schedule: Swing (Evening/Overnight) We’re hiring a Supervisor – Healthcare Security Officer in Waterbury to lead our security team and help maintain a safe, professional environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise Healthcare Security Officers during evening and overnight shifts Oversee access control and ensure all post orders and procedures are followed Coordinate daily assignments, breaks, and coverage to maintain consistent security presence Monitor site activity and respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies Conduct incident investigations and complete clear, detailed reports Provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training to team members Serve as the primary security contact for hospital/healthcare staff during assigned shifts Ensure high-quality customer service is delivered to patients, visitors, and staff Support compliance with company and site-specific policies and procedures What We’re Looking For Must have prior security supervisory experience Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and support a team Professional, calm, and confident demeanor, especially in high-stress situations Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong customer service focus and problem-solving ability Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities Able to stand, walk, and respond quickly throughout the shift Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare or hospital security Active state guard card/license (if required by state law) Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED Prior security supervisory experience (required) At least 18 years of age (or state minimum, if higher) Ability to pass background checks and any required screenings Eligibility to work in the U.
