Inside Sales Representative: Residential Plumbing

We are looking for an Inside Salesperson – Residential Plumbing to join our growing team. Since 1973, we have maintained our position as a leader in the wholesale distribution industry and offer first-class service to customers in the residential and commercial plumbing industries, as well as, home builders, interior designers, remodelers, and homeowners. We operate eight branch locations and seven showrooms throughout Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

Function: Provide accurate information, assistance, and support to customers, outside sales force, and other departments; prepare quotations and coordinate material purchases. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Promotes PDI through courteous, efficient customer service and displays a positive attitude. Works in a professional manner to build customer loyalty and performs at a pace to meet our customer’s needs.

Answers phones in a courteous manner and assists customers. Provides accurate bids and price quotations in a timely manner. Enters sales orders and coordinates shipping with appropriate individuals, both inside and outside the company in order to meet our customers’ delivery requirements. Resolves pricing discrepancies.

Maintains current market information on both products and pricing to provide efficient and effective pricing to our customers. Places orders for non-stock items and tracks orders to ensure on-time and accurate delivery. Generates credits for material to be returned to PDI and manages them for a cost-effective and timely conclusion.

Maintains well-organized job quote files for easy future reference. Prepares neat and professionally prepared quotations and submittals following the customers’ specifications, communicating with the customer throughout the process. Prepares neat, professional submittals for jobs awarded; enters reserve orders from approved submittals.

Position Requirements: High school diploma, some college a preferred Must work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Must be detail oriented. Computer experience required, including spreadsheets. AS400 experience is a plus. 1-2 years of industry experience. The candidate must be energetic, committed to self-improvement, and customer service is driven.

Excellent communication skills required. Mechanical and mathematical aptitudes are helpful. All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check
