Job description
Project Manager Full-Time
- On-Site / Field (location disclosed to qualified candidates)
- Employment Type: Direct Hire
- Reports to: Owner Position Overview This company built its reputation on years of steady, well-run electrical work for commercial and government clients. Now they need someone to help carry that forward by managing multiple projects and keeping them on track. You'll work directly with the owner and other project managers, moving between the office and the field. Some days you're in Bluebeam marking up plans and tracking numbers in Excel. Other days you're on-site making sure the work matches the plan. This role is for someone who already knows the electrical trade and is ready to build your project management skills. You'll be learning as you go, with real support from an owner who wants you to grow into it.
Key Responsibilities
Owner & Field Support Work directly with the owner, managing and supporting both office and field deliverables. Coordinate day-to-day project work with other project managers to keep jobs moving on schedule. Drawings & Specifications Manage project drawings and specifications using Bluebeam. Keep documentation current and accessible for the field and office teams.
Estimating & Reporting Track project data and reporting in Excel. Support estimating work and manage submittals from start to finish.
Qualifications
Experience 5-7 years of experience in the electrical industry. Technical Knowledge Strong knowledge of electrical code. Familiarity with commercial and government contract work is a plus. Leadership & Communication Coachable and open to learning project management as a new discipline. Comfortable moving between desk work and field work in the same day.
Nice to have, not required: independent electrical journeyman status. Work Environment This role splits time between the office and the field. You'll need to be just as comfortable behind a screen managing drawings and reports as you are walking a job site. Expect close, regular contact with the owner and project managers, and expect the day-to-day to shift based on what each project needs.
