Full Time X-ray Technician Skillman
Job description
About the role
Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation. Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff Prepare images for reading by Radiologist Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow Attend staff and departmental meetings Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests Proposes improvements to processes and workflows Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
Must be able to work 12 Hour Shifts.
Qualifications
Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through job-related training and considerable work experience. May act as a lead, coordinating and facilitating the work of others, but is not a supervisor Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience Current CRT certificate Current CPR- BLS Licensure/Certifications: Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency Benefits Medical, dental & vision coverage, effective first day of employment Health Savings Account & Flexible Savings Account option for health care & dependent care Paid time off, paid sick leave 401k retirement savings plans with employer match Life & Disability Insurance DOT certification will be reimbursed where it is required for practice As a physician-founded and led organization, ensuring everyone has access to quality healthcare is what inspires us.
