Job description

Position Summary

The Engineer Co-Op program is designed to provide hands-on mentorship from experienced professional structural engineers. Co-ops will be exposed to real projects throughout the live event and entertainment industry from concert stages to area rigging and festival structures among other projects. Key Areas of Mentorship Structural Analysis & Design Learn to perform structural analysis on a variety of projects under supervision, applying sound engineering principles using models such as RISA-3D, Mathcad and SAP2000.

Support developing formal calculations and documentation to support design decisions. Utilizing engineering analysis software to model, analyze, and validate structural systems. Submittals & Documentation Learn to prepare structural submittal packages for client review, permitting, and construction purposes. Maintain organized records of calculations, drawings, and submittal materials.

Codes, Standards & Professional Development Learn and apply applicable building codes, design guides, and material standards in all project work. Stay informed of updates to codes, standards, and industry best practices. Actively develop engineering skills and grow toward self-sufficiency in analysis, design, and project management.

Project & Client Support Assist engineers on projects. Interact professionally with clients, responding to inquiries with support. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs are accurate, constructible, and compliant.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering; emphasis in structural engineering preferred.. Work Environment On-site 40-hour workweek Casual work attire
