Import Operations Manager

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with freight forwarding and customs processing experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to operational excellence and customer satisfaction What You’ll Do : Oversee daily U.

S. import operations across Ocean, Air, and Ground, ensuring timely and accurate shipment processing. Manage U.S. Customs Brokerage activities and ensure compliance with CBP, FDA, USDA, EPA, DOT, C-TPAT, ISF, ACE, and other applicable regulations. Lead, coach, and develop import operations and brokerage teams, including workload planning, performance management, and training.

Coordinate with overseas offices, agents, carriers, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth cargo movement and high service levels. Resolve escalated operational issues, delays, exceptions, and claims while maintaining strong customer relationships. Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational performance, identify opportunities for process improvements, and increased efficiency.

Ensure accurate documentation, billing coordination, recordkeeping, and audit readiness. Support customer meetings, new business opportunities, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for managing the daily operations of the Import Department to ensure excellent customer service, compliance, and profitability.

Manages employees in the Import Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Ensure compliance with company quality standards, including ISO 9001/14001, C-TPAT, and Responsible Care requirements
