Instructional Assistant: ELL (English Language Learners)

Working at Red Cedars Elementary and Lincoln Elementary with English Language Learners Qualifications: Employee must demonstrate the skills and abilities listed below. Must also have good moral character and ethical code. Serve as a role model for students and adults. Can take direction and has organizational skills. Is self-directed, and enjoys working with students and adults.

Education

Completed one of the following forms of education: Two years (approximately 60 hours) of study at an institution of higher education. An Associate degree or higher. Must have met a rigorous standard of quality through a formal state academic assessment (Praxis I). Job Duties: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND EXPECTATIONS OF THE POSITION:

1. Work under direction of classroom teacher.
2. Work one on one or in small groups with children in all subject areas.
3. Assist with general classroom duties as assigned by classroom teacher.
