Role Purpose: The Hoffman Meridian Specialist promotes the full Hoffman enclosure product line and grows Hoffman business across MMG’s Southeast Michigan market from our Madison Heights location. Working side by side with our Sales and Engineering teams, this customer-facing role wins new business, expands existing accounts, and serves as MMG’s go-to expert for Hoffman products. As a Hoffman Meridian Specialist, you will: Develop and lead the sales plan for Hoffman enclosure products in the Southeast Michigan market, managing sales goals and reporting regularly on performance against the plan. Partner with MMG Account Managers, Sales and Engineering teams, and Hoffman representatives on joint customer calls to win new business and expand existing accounts. Lead target account planning and follow-up in coordination with Hoffman and MMG sales leadership. Develop a plan to follow up on all inquiries and leads generated through Hoffman promotional activities such as advertising and trade shows. Manage Hoffman merchandising and promotional activities, including co-op funding, in line with the annual plan. Promote Hoffman Modification Services and lead specification activity with target customers. Serve as the primary point of contact for all Hoffman activity at the branch, including quote requests, orders, and after-the-sale service. Use Hoffman’s online sales tools, distributor portal, pricing tools, and EDI to reduce transaction time and cost, and monitor service performance using available reporting systems. Arrange and help conduct product training for customers and MMG employees. Complete Hoffman training programs and earn certification as a Hoffman Enclosure Specialist. Participate in all necessary quality initiatives. Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Include: Bachelor of Science degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years of distributor-based sales, customer service, or account management experience. Working knowledge of enclosure applications and product selection. Thorough knowledge of electrical products. Strong customer-facing communication skills with a courteous and professional style. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive results. Technically proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; CRM and ERP experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel locally to customer sites.
