Cans Deco Mechanic

Job Description: Job SummaryThe Cans Deco Mechanic is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of decorating equipment used in the manufacturing of cans, ensuring optimal production and product quality. Job Responsibilities * Perform routine and preventative maintenance on decorators, ovens, and related equipment.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on decorating lines. * Set up and adjust decorating machinery for various can sizes and designs, including ink systems, blanket changes, and coating applications. * Monitor decorator performance and product quality, making necessary adjustments to maintain specifications.

• Conduct quality checks on decorated cans, identifying and resolving defects. * Collaborate with production teams to optimize line efficiency and minimize downtime. * Maintain accurate maintenance logs and production records. * Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred. * Proven experience as a mechanic or technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in printing or decorating equipment. * Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. * Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. * Basic understanding of electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics. * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
