• Mol-Son, Mattawan, Michigan The Tool Room Apprentice is an entry-level position designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to support mold making and tool room operations. The apprentice will participate in required classroom and hands-on training while assisting experienced Mold Makers with maintenance, machining, mold movement, and other assigned tool room activities. What you will do

• Attend required classes (Classes are provided onsite).
• Operate company vehicles / trucks.
• Learn to operate tool room equipment.
• Pick-up and deliver molds per schedule.
• Provide support to Mold Makers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to read and follow a blueprint.
• Computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Tool room equipment and machining processes.
• Use of basic tools.
• Use of hand-held measurement tools.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work closely with Mold Makers and other team members.
• Demonstrates initiative, innovation, problem-solving, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a group and support a team environment.
• Supports Company policies, procedures, goals, and values.

Education and Experience

Requirements

• Highschool diploma or equivalent or currently enrolled in a 2 to 4-year approved apprenticeship program.
• No experience required for entry level position, vocational training a plus (shop, drafting classes, etc.).
